In terms of frequency, the second most common request by users for the removal of old and unnecessary appliances in the household is the removal of the stove. This applies to all situations, when the stove is completely defective and is intended to be treated as waste, or is rusted with a burned-out oven and is intended for recycling, as well as for the situation when the stove, i.e. oven or ceramic cooking plate is fully functional, and users want to exchange that outdated device for a new and modern designed range.
Disposing old refrigerators is also very common, which applies to all brands, i.e. manufacturers, including Beko, Vox, Bosch, LG, Gorenje, and in the Belgrade area, it especially refers to the Obodin brand, which in previous decades was very popular in households all over of Serbia, as well as the entire former Yugoslavia.

Users primarily ask for the appliances disposal, i.e. for this example a refrigerator or a freezer, when the compressor breaks down, or rather the electric motor in the compressor burns out and its repair does not make economic justification. The primary cause of compressor failure is its overheating due to permanent operation - non-stop for a long series of hours and even days, which is a consequence of incomplete closing of the refrigerator door. On that occasion, warm air from the outside enters the refrigerator or freezer chamber, and cold air leaves the chamber, by which thermostat does not turn off the compressor, aiming to reach the preset temperature.
Another cause of overheating and burning-out of the electric motor in the compressor is the leakage of cooling gas from the pipe installation, which is a consequence of having an hole in the gas installation due to corrosion or crushing the pipe line during physical movement of the applilance.
To ensure good closing of the refrigerator door, regular visual inspection of the sealing rubber - gasket rubber for signs of cracking and/or loss of magnetic properties is recommended. When symptoms appear, the sealing rubber should be replaced as soon as possible.
